"A Break from the Mundane" - Sea of Lights

Fanart done for Genshin Impact's fanart contest themed "Sea of Lights"
The main theme revolves around lantern festivals that Asian cultures celebrate by releasing lanterns into the night sky. Additionally, people would flock to night markets to watch the celebration, as well as enjoy street food and spending time with families & love ones.

This piece was drawn to recreate that mood, using characters based in Genshin Impact's Liyue area. Knowing how hard the Liyue Qixing characters work, I thought it would be a nice twist for them to relax and wind down. I did a more casual take on some of their outfits to match the Lunar New Year setting.
