With online retail popularized over the past decade, modern physical retail spaces have slowly shifted into a virtual space. However, this creates an opportunity to step away from the familiar user journey towards to a new experience.
The Beautybox seeks to transcend the everyday transactional interactions. Using architecture to blend both beauty products and premium beauty services in a memorable journey, the concept has one goal: to immerse customers in an experiential step using the various service spaces. The usual retail space layout has been reorientated to blend seemlessly with specialized beauty services - The Mask Collective, Skin Studio, Touch Up Bar and Facial Edit. This allows traffic to loop around the space, ensuring that each customer finds their beauty solution in each corner. Larger than life accessories are curated around the store as playful touches, but also to ground each category under a unique wayfinding and spatial hierarchy.
The result. A seamless, optimized design language that translates the intimate personal journey into the expansive narrative of the retail floor plan.
